What Is EPF?
The Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) is a retirement savings scheme in India where both the employer and employee contribute a portion of the employee’s salary every month. Managed by the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), this fund builds over time and can be withdrawn during retirement, unemployment, or in specific emergency situations.
PF withdrawal process often becomes time-consuming, confusing, or error-prone for employees—especially when they’ve changed jobs or have outdated records.
Common Issues People Face With EPF Withdrawals
Even though EPFO has digitized most processes, these are the hurdles people still commonly face:
Mismatch in personal details: Your name or date of birth don’t match your Aadhaar or PAN.
Unlinked or incomplete KYC: When your PAN, Aadhaar, or bank account isn’t linked or verified, your claim won’t go through.
Exit date not Marked: When your employer hasn't marked your last working day, your claim gets rejected.
Portal glitches: The EPFO website often runs into errors that are hard to troubleshoot on your own.
Rejected claims: You apply, it gets rejected, and you’re left guessing what went wrong.
These problems delay your access to money you’ve rightfully earned.
