Step-by-Step Guide: Generate and Activate Your UAN Using Aadhaar FAT
Step 1: Download Required Apps
- UMANG App: Download the UMANG App from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
- AadhaarFaceRD App: Download the AadhaarFaceRD App to enable Face Authentication.
Step 2: Open the UMANG App
- After installing both apps, open the UMANG App.
- Navigate to "UAN Allotment and Activation" under the UAN services section.
Step 3: Enter Aadhaar Details
- Enter your Aadhaar Number and the mobile number linked with Aadhaar.
- The mobile number entered will be matched with the number registered with Aadhaar to send the OTP.
Step 4: Consent and OTP Verification
- Tick the checkbox to provide your consent for the process.
- Enter the OTP received on your mobile number linked with Aadhaar.
Step 5: Face Authentication
- The camera of your device will be activated to capture a live photo for Face Authentication.
- The color outline will turn from red to green once your photo is successfully captured (similar to how the Digiyatra app works).
Step 6: UAN Generation
- Once your face is matched with the Aadhaar database, your UAN will be generated.
- The UAN number will be sent to your registered mobile number via SMS.
Step 7: Download UAN Card
- After successful UAN generation, you can download the UAN card from the UMANG App or the EPFO Member Portal.
- The UAN will be auto-activated on the Member Portal for you to begin accessing EPFO services such as PF withdrawal, passbook viewing, KYC updates, and more.
UAN Activation for Existing Members
